Hello! Thanks for joining me in the first blog hop for 2021 with the Paper Adventures Team. Each month the team does a blog hop with a different and fun theme and today’s theme is New, anything to do with new like new year, new products, new whatever! Please welcome our guest designer, Linda Dalke I am really looking forward to see what Linda has created.
Today I have chosen lots of new!
By using white cardstock for the base of the card, I then added a Granny Apple Green layer and of course I had to chose my ‘new’ favourite free DSP called Oh So Ombre which you can receive free with every $90 spent in the new Mini Catalogue, oh look another ‘new’ thing, a catalogue! I die cut the ombre DSP using Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies, I love anything that is stitched then I had to use another ‘new’ framelit inside the rectangle called Stitched With Whimsy dies, see I told you I loved anything that is stitched! Using a ‘new’ technique that I had not used for before I embossed a piece of vellum using the Greenery embossing folder, the trick to get this glued down is to get a sponge with tombow then smear the glue over the vellum on the back make sure you get all the edges otherwise it will curl and be hard to stick down. If you use double sided tape you will see the tape as it shows thorough the vellum and looks unsightly. I stamped with a ‘new’ stamp set called Pretty Perennials I stamped Happy , Sending Lots of and Mail in black but heat embossed Happy with clear embossing powder to make it stand out and then fussy cut around to really make it pop. Such a simple card which can be changed up to suit your needs and the stamp set has lots of different sayings, so this is my ‘new’ favourite stamp set!!
I am really looking forward to what everyone has come up with for the ‘new’ theme and I am sure you will get some great ideas from this very special bunch of creative people as they have some fantastic ideas that they are only too happy to share with you all
